Hi, I’m Yona.  Something brings you here and I may be able to help.Â

I accompany individuals, dyads and small groups navigating and learning from life’s discomforts. I invite you on a quest for deepened self awareness. This involves anazlyzing messages received throughout your life to encourage thoughtful reevaluation: Which ones resonate and which ones no longer suit you? Exploring the answers to those questions may help you identify the narratives underlying your emotional reactions and the power they hold over you. I can offer practical coping skills while daring you to challenge beliefs that conjure illusions of impasse. I will also encourage you to read somatic cues that may hold profound insight about the causes of mental distress. Together, we can build a plan for removing barriers to desired goals. Let’s slow things down and curate space for your feelings to be seen, heard, or just be.Â

My therapeutic framework draws from a growing pool of modalities including somatic therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), grief counseling, and sex therapy. I bring elements of my personality into the office — most notably candor when warranted and humor when appropriate. To ensure we have accurate information to influence a collaborative and dynamic treatment plan, I prescribe homework between sessions, typically focused on self-observation.

I have worked in outpatient settings treating clients experiencing life transitions, relational issues, PTSD, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, PMDD, autism, depression, and grief. My clinical focus is in fostering inclusive psychosexual wellness and in the building or rebuilding of intimacy with oneself and others. My practice affirms LGBTQIA+ communities, relationship diversity and kink. I see clients exclusively via Telehealth.
